Jesus Knocking at the Door -- Woman Clinging to Cross

Original 1904 window restored in 2009. The original panel of Jesus knocking at the door was blown out by strong winds in the early 1970s. Only the face of Jesus was not shattered! This window received some 85% new glass in its 2009 restoration.

Jesus with the Samaritan Woman at the Well

Another original window from 1904. The panel of the woman was destoryed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. A temporary panel was installed thereafter. In 2009 a new panel, which included background scenery, was added.

The Nativity and The Resurrection

This new window depicts the Incarnation and Resurrection of Jesus which are the two central doctrines of the Christianity. In the center circle are the Greek letters "Alpha & Omega" reminding us of Jesus' exalted place in history as both "the first and the last."

Jesus Blessing the Children and Jesus Healing the Paralyzed Man

This window is new in 2009. Here we are reminded of Jesus' love for children and that he made himself accessible to them. We also see the paralyzed man whose friends removed the roof of a house in order to lower him to Jesus for healing. The center circle contains the Descending Dove.

Celtic Cross

One of the oldest forms of the cross, often associated with Presbyterian churches in Scotland since it was found on the Isle of Iona, final resting place of many Scottish Kings.

Latin Cross

The most recognized depiction of the cross.

The Ark

A depiction of Noah's Ark, an ancient symbol of "the church", with the dove returning with an olive branch.

Cross of St. Andrew

Tradition tells us that St. Andrew was crucified on a cross in the shape of an X. This image is found on the Scottish flag, The Saltire, since Andrew became the patron saint of Scotland.

An Angel

Angels are created beings used by God in the scriptures to bring both good news and warnings to humans.

Latin Cross with Double-Wedding Rings

Symbolizing the union of a blended family.

Transom

A new transom to match the original 1904 example.

Restored Transom

The original transom restored. Both the old and new transoms are located over the entrances to the Church Parlor.
