| Christian
Education
Although the Word of
God is enmeshed in all of our church programs, the Sunday School is the core of Christian
Education. There are classes for all ages which meet from 9:45 -10:30 on Sunday
mornings. Our current Sunday School enrollment is 288. The Director of Christian
Education, Mrs.
Barbara Gragson, and the Christian Education committee coordinate the classes
and teachers.

| In
addition to regular Sunday School classes for adults, Bible study groups are often held on
topics such as Women in the Bible, Child Rearing, and Christian
Marriage. A two-year intensive study called The Bethel Bible Series is
offered to adults interested in an in-depth study of the Bible. Workshops, retreats, and
camps are also available through Presbyterian facilities such as |
Montreat (www.montreat.org/) |
and Camp
Hopewell (horeb.pcusa.org/pccca/mississippi.htm). |

| We are
fortunate to have a church library containing Christian books, tapes, and CD's. There
are materials available for persons of all ages who are interested in individual study,
class preparation, or personal enjoyment. Some suggested web site links relating to
personal Bible study are |
