Christian
Education
Although the Word of
God is enmeshed in all of our church programs, the Sunday School is the core of Christian
Education. There are classes for all ages which meet from 9:45 -10:30 on Sunday
mornings. Our current Sunday School enrollment is 288. The Director of Christian
Education,
Mrs.
Barbara Gragson, and the Christian Education committee coordinate the classes
and teachers.
| The Sunday
School classes for children and youth are: |
 |
2 & 3 Year Olds |
| 4 & 5 Year Olds |
| Grades 1 & 2 |
| Grades 3 & 4 & 5 |
| Junior High (Grades 6 - 8) |
| Senior High (Grades 9 - 12) |
|
| ..... |

 |
At First Presbyterian,
we believe that Christian Education is vital for adults, as well as for youth. The Sunday
morning classes provided for adults are: |
|
|
Journey (Young Adults) -- Parenting-The Early Years
Partners in Faith - Smyth & Helwys Quarterly Bible Study
Irvine Memorial Bible Class - Sr. Adult Men |
|
|
Also, Dr. Douglas
teaches a "Traveling Class"
on Leaders of the Protestant Reformation including
Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Knox and Ulrich Zwingli. |

Sunday School is for all ages!
