We are all important in the life of the Church and we all
have something to offer. There are numerous opportunities to meet and work together in
Christian growth - committee gatherings, circle groups, Bible studies, youth groups, etc.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in areas that match his/her needs, interests, and
talents. The calendar link above shows activities and meetings during the month of . There is also a bi-weekly newsletter mailed to each home to keep everyone
informed of the latest happenings and upcoming events.
We join with others throughout our country and the world
as we pray for those who are in distress and for our leaders. Our Minister to Youth,
Rev. Randy Weeks, wrote a hymn that was inspired by recent world events. The words of this
hymn may found at the following link: "O God, We Pray for All the World".
Also, the Presbyterian Church USA has provided helpful information on the national web
site: www.pcusa.org.
Our denomination's magazine, Presbyterians
Today,
can be visited online at www.pcusa.org/today. |

"Now you are the body of Christ and individually
members of it."
I Corinthians 12:27
At First Presbyterian we are truly a church
family.
Our congregation is large enough to be a vital part of our community
and small enough to enable everyone to feel comfortable and "at home".
There's a special place for everyone!
