Benevolences

The members of First Presbyterian strive to show God's love for all of His people through a large variety of missions and benevolences. We dedicate 27% of the General Budget to mission causes. Of special concern are our missionaries, Rev. Michael Parker in Rwanda and Rev. Amos Yam in Campeche, Mexico.

Some of the other mission causes that are regularly addressed are:

*Generous support of St. Andrew Presbytery, a part of the Synod of Living Waters
*Outreach Foundation whose efforts are aimed toward helping children in various parts of the world
*Boy Scouts of America by sponsoring a local troop
*Community Food Pantry

*Habitat for Humanity   (photos below)

*Campus ministry

*Palmer Home for Children

*French Camp Academy

*Chamberlain Hunt Academy

*Fellowship of Christian Athletes

*Prison Ministry  (article below)

*Community Kitchen - local Stewpot Mission Project  (photos below)

*2 Cents a Meal hunger program
